30 Week Bump Update

How far along:

30 Weeks     

Doctors Appointment:

Last week they did a sonogram to give an estimate of the baby's weight.  Already weighing in at 3 pounds 3 ounces I think Luke will be one big baby.

Got the results of my gestational diabetes test and i PASSED!

Movement:

This baby is a kicker.  Moving all about and doing flips on the sono.  I swear he karate chops my bladder all the time.

Weight Gain: 

18lbs. overall  Uggh I wish i was not gaining weight but since the baby is already weighing in at 3 pounds it makes me feel a tad better.

Maternity Clothes:

If I could live in Old Navy maternity yoga pants I would.

Sleep:

Tommy and Little Bear both complain that I'm snoring up a storm while sleeping.  I nodded out for a few minutes while Little Bear was watching the Disney Junior app on my ipad and he woke me up to tell me he couldn't hear his show over my snoring.

I am up at least 3-4 times a night to pee.  This baby loves to keep me up with heartburn too.

Miss Anything:

It's still caffeine. I want an ice cold Cherry Coke sooo bad.  I have had a bit of caffeinated soda here and there, but trying to be good.

Food Cravings:

For awhile I just wanted candy but right now not craving much.

Aversions:

It's still the smell of meat cooking. Chicken, chop meat, steak all gross me out to cook. I am making more of an effort to eat meat and cook home cooked meals despite the fact that it makes me gag.

Gender:

It's a boy!

Symptoms:

I have had a stuffy nose my entire pregnancy.  Would love to have a few consecutive days where I could actually breathe.

A gift from a co-worker.  Can't wait to see my little lion in this outfit.

Rings:

I have stopped wearing them.  They still fit, but worried that I might puff up and not be able to get them off.

Moody or Happy:

Well we all know how cranky I was a few weeks ago when I wrote this post.  I have since felt happier and not so wiped out.  I am getting excited about how quickly May will be approaching.  

Little Bear's Attitude:

Just today we were in TJ Max and there was a lion toy and Little Bear said this would be perfect for Luke.  He knows that I have been calling Luke my little lion and we are on the hunt for a good lion security lovie.

Besides wanting me to buy the entire store for his little brother he is also really defensive of Luke.  We had a play date where the little girl said I am going to call  him Luca and Lukie and Little Bear was getting so mad and yelling his name is just Luke.

I do think there is some anxiety there but he is holding it together so far.

Looking Forward:

Getting out Little Bear's clothes and organizing for Luke

Quality time with my Little Bear
